STEP 1: How to Locate the Buccinator Trigger Point #One

The Buccinator is a muscle present on the face and forms the wall of the oral cavity/mouth. It is present over the upper and lower jaw near the molar teeth, and pain in this muscle is generally referred to these teeth. Move backward from the edge of your lips along your upper teeth to just above the molars. If you’ve been to the dentist and they couldn’t find anything wrong with your teeth, then it’s probably referred pain from the Buccinator.

STEP 2: How to Self-Release the Buccinator Trigger Point # One

To self-release the Buccinator you will need your thumb and a wall. Use the pads of your thumb and place them on the muscle as shown in the earlier video. Rest your other fingers over the temple for support. Find the sensitive spot and press into it using your thumb. Hold for about 30 seconds and release.
